PAINT EXHIBIT AND SELL AT ALL EVENTS

(Please note – the Youth Category has been cancelled for 2025 but will return for 2026. Youth can still participate in the Quick Draw Sunday 27th April)
Includes
- Permit to paint at designated government and private properties during the Pre-Festival paint-out (Monday 21 April – Thursday 24 April), with directions and location profiles. Participants must display their issued lanyard to identify themselves as registered Festival artists.
- Permit to paint on designated government and private properties during the “Capital Plein Air Festival” weekend (Friday 25 April – Sunday 27 April). Participants must display their issued lanyard to identify themselves as registered Festival artists.
- Free artist parking in designated areas at Festival locations.
- Eligibility to display and sell up to two artworks painted during the Pre-Festival Paint Out on the wet wall. (Subject to size limits and prior stamping). Sold works may be replaced with new pieces painted during the pre-festival paint-outs or festival weekend.
- Eligibility to enter up to two artworks for judging in the “Capital Plein Air Art Awards” in one of three categories: Open, Non-Professional, or Youth. Artwork for judging will require frames (or matt board for watercolour).
- Participation in the “2-hour Quick Draw Painting Competition” on Sunday, 27 April 2025.
- Access to workshops conducted by Festival Artists (additional workshop costs apply).
- Free entry to Special Guest and Feature Artist demonstrations and presentations during the festival weekend.
* Please note: an additional $0.50 fee is added to all tickets via our booking agent.

Includes
- Participation in the “2-hour Quick Draw Painting Competition” on Sunday, 27 April 2025.
- Eligibility for Quick Draw Awards only
- Eligibility to sell artwork off the easel on Sunday, 27 April 2025
Note: A Quick Draw Registration does not count as the full festival registration and therefore does not include access to registration for Festival Workshops.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
- Registration Fees: Non-refundable.
- Workshop Fees:
- Cancellations more than 30 days before the event incur a 20% fee.
- No refunds for cancellations less than 30 days before the event; however, transfers to another participant are permitted.
- In the event of cancellation due to COVID-19 or other force majeure, the Festival may transition to a virtual format.

2025 WORKSHOP REGISTRATION
As an artist there is always more to learn! That is why there will be variety of workshops available during the festival catering for beginners to more experienced painters.
These workshops have been scheduled to help the development of plein air painting and as such will be conducted outdoors on location with shade and shelter from possible rain. Workshop Instructors will issue a materials list to attendees prior to workshops. In addition to art supplies, please ensure you bring any other equipment to be comfortable outdoors. Eg. Broad brim hat, sunscreen, bug spray, water, a packed lunch and a fold up chair or picnic rug.

Note: Workshops have been scheduled for the benefit of Capital Plein Air Attendees and are only available for purchase with a festival registration. You must be registered to attend the festival in order to attend a workshop. Quick Draw registration only is not considered festival registration.
